Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Category Managers in the Frozen department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and managing deals, interacting with and helping manage vendors, developing reports in Excel, and ensuring smooth communication and organization within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Tracking and Management:
- Monitor and track all deals and promotions within the Frozen category.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of deal terms and conditions.
- Assist Category Managers in negotiating and finalizing deals with vendors.
- Vendor Interaction and Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
- Maintain and update vendor contact information and records.
- Report Development:
- Create and maintain detailed reports in Excel to track sales, inventory, and performance metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends and provide insights to Category Managers.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports as required.
- Organization and Communication:
- Maintain organized records and files for easy access and retrieval.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the retail or grocery industry, particularly in the Frozen category.
- Familiarity with vendor management and deal tracking systems.
