Newsroom Coordinator

The Berkshire Eagle is seeking a highly organized and proactive Newsroom Coordinator to join our team. This vital role supports our executive editor and staff, ensuring smooth daily operations so leadership can focus on driving strategic goals, enhancing public engagement and newsroom leadership. In this role, you'll provide administrative coordination and support to the executive editor. Tasks include payroll, recruiting and on-boarding support; ongoing and special project coordination; public and reader engagement activities. Other duties include organizing data, scheduling, fielding public inquiries, managing customer services.

Required Qualifications: Experience in administrative support roles. Organizational and time-management skills. Verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency with office software like Google Workspace. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work. Willingness, ability to learn and grow in a role.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a newsroom or media environment. Knowledge of HR/personnel management tasks. Familiarity with managing contracts and invoices. Understanding of project management tools and workflow systems.
