Job Description:
Assembler – medical components (2nd shift, several openings)
Many Assembly and Operator positions open with Phoenix area medical device components company. 2nd shift working 3:00pm – 11:30pm with some overtime available on Saturdays if desired. Competitive pay is offered and will vary based on experience. Attendance and being on time are key to success for these roles!!
Assembly and Operations of small components used in the medical device and aerospace industries. Previous similar experience desired but not required (small parts assembly, microscope work, data base entry on a spreadsheet or similar computer system).
We need people with the desire and enthusiasm to learn, positive attitude, and good attendance. If you have these we will train you and expand your career!
Key responsibilities
-Terminating, cleaving and polishing assemblies.
-Use of technical skills with tapers which requires a lot of attention to detail.
-Termination of fibers in a connector
-Inspecting under a microscope skills
-Polishing connectors, standing and inspecting under a microscope
-Procedures in place to follow closely.
-Run the component cleaver and inspection under microscope.
-Some roles will work in a cleanroom environment - requiring to dress in a cleanroom "bunny suit"
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent with at least 2 years consistent work experience is preferred. Some college level coursework a plus, especially in the sciences and math.
Previous work in a closely regulated, manufacturing environment preferred. Medical device experience is highly valued but not required.
High maturity and integrity level
Good communication skills and the ability to speak up if products are out of specification.
Reliable transportation and the ability to work some overtime may be required from time to time.
Drug screen (No testing for cannabis) and criminal background check need to be completed and cleared prior to starting work.
An onsite interview will be conducted.
