Here are the details:

Position: Asset and Configuration Management Coordinator

Location: Hybrid on-site 3 days a week in Plano, TX (also open to Richmond or Mclean VA)

Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Duration: 1-2 year contract to hire

Position Summary:

- Responsible for managing the lifecycle of assets (hardware, software, licenses, etc.) within the organization using ServiceNow

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset and configuration data in ServiceNow

- Perform regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity

- Develop and implement processes and workflows to automate asset management tasks

- Generate reports and dashboards to provide visibility into asset status and utilization

- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper asset tagging, tracking, and decommissioning

- Provide training and support to end-users on asset management policies and procedures

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in asset and configuration management, preferably in a ServiceNow environment
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices related to asset and configuration management
Proficient in using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools to manage the full asset lifecycle
Familiarity with data analysis and reporting, including the ability to create custom reports and dashboards
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve data quality issues
Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
