Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as an Associate Systems Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division. This position can be based out of Fairfax, VA or Aurora, CO.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a technical understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering and the use of Cameo Enterprise Architecture to model systems, subsystems, components, interfaces, and verification paths as well as applying relevant profiles and stereotypes to new and pre-existing configurations. Candidate is expected to work both independently and within a team, demonstrating the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and communicate effectively with varying levels of program, customer, and functional organization leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with 0 years of related experience
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance
• Working knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and processes
• Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture (or comparable tool)
• Experience developing, managing and decomposing requirements
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate to team members, customers and stakeholders - verbally and through well written technical documents and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI, granted or re-investigated within the last 6 years or in continuous evaluation
• Experience in Interface Control Document development
• Experience with Agile Development - Scrum Master experience is a plus
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, etc
• Experience developing and applying software scripts/apps to solve practical problems
• Experience with technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Salary Range: $68,800 - $103,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
