Overview 


Behavioral Health Technician at Longview is needed to help us in our endeavor to build the healthiest community in the nation … one person at a time.  

This position will be based at the new and innovative acute care behavioral health facility, which opened in late 2023. SummitStone has the privilege of partnering closely with Larimer County on this venture. This voter-approved facility provides licensed, equitable and culturally relevant care and treatment to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders.   • Location: Larimer County, CO
  • Status: Full-time, 40/hrs. week, 12 hour shifts

    What You’ll Do: 

    As a Behavioral Health Technician (Case Manager), within our Crisis Residential Unit, the person in this role provides services to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Duties include milieu management, brief counseling interventions, psycho-education and activities groups, and treatment planning within a Crisis Stabilization Unit setting. The position interacts extensively with a large interdisciplinary team including RNs, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Mental Health Therapists, and Psychologists. This position requires knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities.

    • Required: 

      • Bachelor's degree in behavioral science.
      • Work experience with people with severe and persistent mental illness/substance abuse issues or individuals with similar human-service needs.
      • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
      • Preferred: 

        • Bilingual/Bi-cultural.
        • Trauma Informed Care experience. 
        • CAS certification.

        Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver’s license.

        Total Rewards 

        The typical hiring range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85/hour, based on relevant years of experience.  

        Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekend and holidays.
