We are searching for a Business Development Representative (BDR), where your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads, prospecting potential clients, and setting up meetings with Tourmaline's senior team members.

We are searching for a Business Development Representative (BDR), where your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads, prospecting potential clients, and setting up meetings with Tourmaline's senior team members.
What you will do:
- Identify potential leads through research and segment list of funds into priority tiers (e.g., A, B, C)
- Qualify and develop inbound and outbound leads based on fit, budget, and decision-making authority. And use understanding of space and solutions to develop these leads and obtain an appointment to learn more.
- Work closely with Head of Business Development, Traders, and Leadership team to align outreach efforts and pass qualified leads to the next stage in the sales process.
- Nurture relationships with prospects, follow up on outreach efforts, and ensure timely communication.
- Track and report on key metrics using Hubspot in areas such as lead generation and conversion rates and provide regular updates on progress to the sales team.
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience in sales and/or lead generation, targeting buy-side financial institutions (preferably hedge funds, private equity funds, asset managers).
- A thoroughly trained, high volume sales resource, who isaccustomed to spending significant time each day on the phone on both cold calls and chasing up leads (in addition to text, email, social channels to follow up as required).
- Aggressive new customer selling history.
- Self-motivated with a results/KPI-driven mindset.
- Loves working independently AND working with internal parties to come up with custom but deliverable projects
- Strong written and verbal capabilities
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to engage with decision-makers
- Comfortable using CRM software (HubSpot) and prospecting tools (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Resilient with a drive to meet and exceed targets.
