This role is crucial in supporting the efficient and cost-effective flow of engineering changes within the department. This buyer will play a key role in processing and managing engineering change orders, ensuring timely execution and minimizing disruptions to the production process.
Responsibilities:
- Process and Manage ECOs:
- Accurately process and track all engineering change orders received.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to understand and implement ECOs.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all ECO activities.
- Identify and resolve potential roadblocks and issues related to ECO implementation.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze ECO data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on ECO status, timelines, and costs.
- Contract Management Support:
- Assist with contract review and updates related to engineering changes.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to ECOs.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the ECO management process.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to engineering changes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant work experience will be considered.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred. Experience with engineering change orders is a plus.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $28 to Buyer Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
