Description:Lockheed Martin RMS is seeking a full-time 2025 summer Information Technology intern.
In this role, you will work on the Trident Information Technology team responsible for maintaining and updating unclassified and classified labs in support of the Trident program.
The role will involve learning about the cybersecurity requirements of the labs and assuring the labs are in compliance. This involves daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring and updates.
The successful candidate will be a college sophomore and junior pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. The candidate will have academic or professional experience installing, configuring, updating, test, and troubleshooting hardware (switches, routers, workstations, and servers). The candidate should be familiar working within both Windows and Unix/Linux environment.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This intern position is 100% on-site at Lockheed Martin Mitchel Field, NY.
Basic Qualifications:
* College sophomore and junior pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
* Academic or professional experience installing, configuring, updating, test, and troubleshooting hardware.
* Familiar working within both Windows and Unix/Linux environment.
* Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
* Familiar with installing Windows/Linux operating system updates.
* Basic knowledge of cybersecurity as related to computer hardware (switches, routers, workstations, and servers) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
* Basic knowledge of systems engineering - with system and component specifications, understanding of requirement flow-down, allocation, validation and verification processes.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $20,904 - $61,672. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate:
