BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is seeking a seasoned, high-potential Commercial Contracts Manager to join an exciting, challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment. The position routinely interacts with customers, senior leadership team, cross functional teams, and other company personnel to manage the entire contracts life cycle of commercial contracts from capture to closeout. The Commercial Contracts Manager also serves as a subject matter expert on managing and administering a variety of commercial contracts for the ship repair business area, including but not limited to contracts governed by the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), FAR Part 12 (Commercial Contracts), FAR Subpart 8.4 (Federal Supply Schedules), and other commercial contracting arrangements. This role may also manage general U.S. Government ship repair contracts and supervise personnel on the team as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the day-to-day contracts lead and subject matter expert to manage all phases of the commercial contracting process including solicitation reviews, proposal development, capture, negotiations, contract formation, contract administration, proactive change management, and closeout in accordance with contract requirements, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Manages all post-award contract requirements including but not limited to audit support, compliance reviews, data entry, fact-finding, tracking metrics, reporting key information to stakeholders in a timely manner, responding to data calls, recordkeeping, and handling correspondence to/from customers.
Evaluates contract performance to determine necessity for amendments, modifications, extensions, or other contract changes. Analyzes and prepares contract summaries and current, accurate, and complete reports to support recommendations for management action/decision.
Advises program team and leadership team of contractual rights, risks, and obligations. Coordinates briefings and internal reviews in accordance with applicable policies and procedures to ensure that all required approvals have been obtained prior to submittal of proposals and execution of contract documents.
Establishes and maintains excellent internal and external customer relationships and acts as liaison with buyers and contracting officials from customers' organizations for all proposal or contract matters by frequently communicating status and following through to resolve open contract matters with program managers, technical staff, and contracts leadership.
Processes all contract documents consistent with established processes and procedures. Ensures that contract data, contract files, and historical records are current, accurate, and complete in the company's established business systems and repositories.
Supports the commercial ship repair team at trade shows and meetings as needed.
Supports updates and revisions to internal policies and procedures as needed.
Supervises team members, including training and mentoring junior staff, as needed.

- This is an on-site position and must be able to commute or relocate to Jacksonville, FL.
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant contract management experience or equivalent experience.
Proficiency and strong working knowledge of the commercial contracting methods, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), U.S. Government acquisition and procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS/Agency Supplements), and export regulations (ITAR/EAR).
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work successfully and productively in a team environment or independently with minimum supervision to achieve targets and timely results.

Certified Commercial Contract Manager
Operational Knowledge of Commercial Ship Repair is a strong preference
Experience with Yachts or Work Boat Ship Repair Commercial Contracting is a plus
Experience with BIMCO REPAIRCON, ICOMIA or other industry standard terms and conditions/documentation
Working knowledge of risk management including guarantees, bonds, financing, and insurance
Experience working with U.S. Navy or other maritime customers
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105835 - $179920

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
