Job Description:
Data Analyst (Intermediate)Apex Systems is a Global IT Services Firm and our Staffingpracticeislooking for a Data Analystwith strong analytical, problem solvingand communication skills to place at our client, aBig Five Bank. In order to be successfulin this role you will need to well versed in Excel, Power BI, SSIS, and SQL.You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast pacedand high performing team.
Client:Big Five Bank
Contract:You will start Early October 2024 for a 6 months contract. Extension is likely based on performance.
Working Location:Remote out of Greater Toronto Area.
Working Hours:Business hours, 37.5hrs/week, Monday-Friday
Dress Code: Business Casual
Ultimately, you will help automate our business intelligence/data processes to help us make better decisions.
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems/data analysis
- Automate as there is currently significant manual process
- Help go from Excel to SSIS/Power BI
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
- Develop and update technical documentation
- 4+ years proven experience as a Data Analyst
- In-depth understanding ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework - SSIS
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft Power BI
- In Depth knowledge of SQL queries and Excel (Pivot Tables, V Look Ups, Macros)
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Data and Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics
2 Rounds with client. First with hiring manager, second with hiring manager and team
