The Director of Client Relations is responsible for driving client engagement, relationship management, and successful implementation of Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRA). This role will support sales efforts, manage client relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience for all. The Director will act as a trusted advisor, providing tailored solutions and proactive support to promote ICHRA adoption and client satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Support & Ongoing Client Escalation Support:
- Collaborate with producers and account executives to drive ICHRA adoption and close new groups.
- Provide tailored ICHRA presentations and Cost Savings Analysis Proposals to meet client needs.
- Scrub incoming census templates and documents, supporting strategic client planning.
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employer clients throughout the ICHRA sales process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnership.
- Manage client communications during the implementation process.
- Address employer questions or concerns regarding ICHRA plans, coverage, and regulations.
- Support with employee escalations to resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the employer and internal teams to ensure smooth ICHRA implementation.
- Assist with the setup of employer contributions, employee coverage shopping, billing, and ACA reporting.
- Ensure all client needs are met during the implementation process, addressing any issues that arise.
Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to promote ICHRA solutions to target markets.
- Support sales strategies in alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
- Provide input on marketing strategies to help drive awareness and interest in ICHRA solutions within NFP.
Training & Education:
- Educate clients on ICHRA benefits, requirements, and the implementation process.
- Provide ongoing support and training for clients as needed, ensuring they understand ICHRA-related processes and regulations.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the NFP ICHRA Support Team to maintain and strengthen existing relationships.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights from client interactions and provide market feedback.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report on sales opportunities, client onboarding progress, and implementation milestones.
- Provide regular updates to management on client satisfaction and support efforts to identify areas for improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of ICHRA and other health benefits solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse client groups.
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
Education and/or Experience:
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in client relations, account management, sales support, or a related role in the insurance or benefits industry.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $140,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
