Summary

The Director of Human Resources (HR) reports to the Senior Director of HR and Communications and directs and executes diverse assignments for the HR organization. This role will lead the HR Generalist team and have expanded leadership responsibilities for other core functions in the HR organization. This dynamic leader supports business objectives, strategic goals and human resources initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs a team of HR Generalists (HR Managers, HR Generalists, and HR Coordinators) to support HR initiatives for the business including change management, leader effectiveness, organizational design and employee engagement to support a business of 7,000+ employees.
  • Directs human resources programs to ensure initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives.
  • Directs the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent, and oversees diversity initiatives.
  • Advises the business and oversees employee relations concerns to include performance management, discipline and terminations.
  • Provides direction, counsel/coaching and analytics that enable leaders to make sound talent decisions, promote employee engagement and positive employee relations.
  • Engages with business leaders and maintains business acumen to be aware of HR needs across the business and provide inputs to the strategic planning process.

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Ten Years overall experience in Human Resources and a minimum of two (2) years in second level management (having people managers as direct reports).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • United States Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain aU.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
