Description
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative person to join our Global Facilities Engineering, GFE Maintenance group located at our Fremont, CA facility. As a member of our group, you will employ your fundamental understanding of site utility equipment critical for manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, in collaboration with other necessary technical support functions associated with the manufacturing processes of drug substances, to provide real-time process monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for clinical and commercial scale equipment.

This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 - $33.00 USD / hr. commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Support our Planner/Scheduler in Utilities for Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, General Maintenance, Service Maintenance work orders activities for Integrated (SAP) record management system with Power BI to automate interactive dashboards and report generation within the departments.
- Assist our Planner/Scheduler and/or site services for weekly work orders/documents reviews for accuracy and completeness of work orders and trending of work orders errors Metrics Monitoring for continuous improvement management system.
- Be self-driven and willing to support our team.
- Be willing to learn new leadership skills and work with a great experienced team.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Good writing and verbal skills
- Ability to work as part of a high performing team and collaborate effectively with staff at all levels
- Computer skills in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint and other applications.
- Able to learn new computer systems in CMMS, SAP
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
