Position Summary & Overall Purpose:

The Finance Intern will spend 10 weeks aiding with and facilitating the finance processes across all Lenox offices (NY, CT, IL, CA, MA, MD). The Finance intern will work on meaningful projects supporting initiatives that are designed to provide exposure to different functions of Finance with hands-on experience.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and KPI analysis to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting
- Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate accruals and adherence to accounting policies
- Support strategic business decision-making through financial modeling and analysis, including ad-hoc modeling and analysis
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts for the business assessing risks and opportunities in actual results vs. forecasts
- Assist in process automation efforts using Power BI
- Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES:
- Financial statement analysis
- Financial modeling skills
- Working knowledge of full Microsoft Office suite with emphasis in Excel
- Strong written communication skills, preparation of business memorandums
- Good interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-driven, with ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities
EDUCATION:
- Rising senior of a four-year university preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in college, community, internship, etc

The hourly rate range for this position is $18-$25. The base rate offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base rate offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
