David N. Pincus Global Health Fellowship

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Global Health Center is recruiting a fellow to join the CHOP David N. Pincus Global Health Fellowship in the Dominican Republic (DR). The Fellowship cultivates and supports the professional training of future leaders in pediatric global health. Fellows gain clinical, educational, research, advocacy, and leadership skills, preparing them for a fulfilling Global Health career.

The program seeks outstanding candidates who are Board Eligible or Board-Certified Pediatricians in the U.S., who want to provide clinical service and education in a low- and middle-income country (LMIC), and who are problem solvers who will work with their mentors to design and implement projects and research studies that will benefit children in CHOP's partner communities. Accepted applicants will join an educationally rich and exciting three-year, fully funded academic fellowship and benefit from protected time and mentorship to acquire a master's degree by distance learning (e.g., MPH or MEpi through the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine).

Education Qualifications

  • Doctorate Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Required
  • Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Pediatrics

Licenses and Certifications

  • Medical Training License - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required or
  • Medical License - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required
