National Grid's Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we'll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one - putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.

Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you'll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.

About the Position

As an Associate Analyst, you will be a part of the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customer segment and you will support the development of Customer Segment plans for the entire C&I market in NY, as it relates to the overall 3- year Customer Strategy. You will help organize and execute strategy and programs based off segment analytics. This role will require working cross functionally to pull together information from a myriad of internal and external partners to develop, launch, and track the performance of key initiatives that will help improve our C&I customers CRI and JD Power scores. Lastly, you will support the growth of the segments customer adoption and utilization of National Grid products and services.

This is a hybrid role with as needed days in the office for team collaboration, meetings, and trainings.

What You'll Do

  • Support the development of the overall customer segment and go-to-market strategy for the segment.
  • Support initiatives that seek to improve customers' experiences, and participation in our programs.
  • Engage in cross-vertical / interdepartmental collaboration by assisting the development of time-integrated plans with marketing, sales, product development, customer service and digital experience teams.
  • Assess market competition and landscape by comparing the company's products and services to competitors (i.e., peer utilities). Support propensity testing. Identify market failures that can present an opportunity for the company to fill a gap.
  • Ensure that C&I products and services support the overall customer strategy and goals. Also, test and evaluate that those products and services are meeting the expectations of regulators and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting KPI's and growth/performance metrics for the C&I segment.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or other related degreefrom an accredited institution

  • Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025

  • Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025

  • Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy

  • Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)

It would be awesome if you had

  • Previous experience with SQL
  • Previous experience analyzing data and turning it into a strategy or recommendation
  • Previous experience with developing powerpoint presentations, data modeling, and dashboard building.

More Information

Salary Range
Brooklyn, New York $70,000 - $82,000 a year

Waltham, Massachusetts $65,000- $77,000a year


Please note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont. As a National Grid employee, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
