Our lifestyle/retail brand client is hiring a Packaging Designer with strong print, layout, and/or packaging experience to join their growing team, full-time!

This role is onsite, 5 days per week in Solana Beach, CA. This is an opportunity to join a quickly growing start up, with products sold in national brand name stores.

Strong illustration and fun brand experience is a huge plus for this role!

What you will be doing:
- Lead and conceptualize packaging innovation and design for different SKUs
- Help concept and bring to life packaging design innovations and renders
- Create and update packaging layouts include drug facts, ingredients, and artwork - must understand die lines and how to set up for production properly
- Implement best practices, design and functionality, with an emphasis on sustainability + cost improvement measures
- Manage Packaging and Merchandising flows from creation to production handoff
- Manage outside vendors to deliver quality work
- Create and direct all merchandising and display projects

What you need to know:
- 3+ years of graphic design experience with a focus on packaging
- Modern aesthetic, versatile portfolio is a must
- Extensive understanding of color, typography, and composition
- Previous packaging experience, consumer products preferred
