We are looking for two IHT Clinicians (Full or Part Time available) who can provide quality, effective care for youth and their families as we expand to the Worcester area!
The IHT Clinician leads the IHT team in creating the treatment plan, providing family therapy, conducting safety planning, and coordination of other services. The TT&S Worker works closely with the family in implementing strategies as indicated in the treatment plan. This can include teaching the youth to understand and manage feelings, learning to interact effectively with family members, helping the family to understand how best to support the youth, and making referrals and linkages to services and supports.
Responsibilities:
- Provides family therapy in a home-based setting (outreach)
- Completes a comprehensive, home-based assessment inclusive of the CANS, focusing on the needs, strengths, culture, current functioning, and history of the youth and family
- Creates treatment planning goals in concert with the family and other team members
- Works closely with the IHT Therapeutic Training and Support worker (TT&S) in implementing strategies as indicated in the treatment plan
- Provides safety planning, crisis management, intervention, and support as needed.
- Provides support to youth and families in community-based settings such as schools, hospitals, and mental health clinics
- Maintains consistent contact with all team members in order to ensure that all are on the same page
- Provides after hours on-call support on a rotating basis
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Must have a Master's degree in the human services field (able to diagnose)
- Must be license eligible or independently licensed
- Must be MA CANS certified (before start date)
- Ability to respond to written and verbal communication in a clear, timely, respectful, and effective manner
- Engage youth and families in family therapy, assess and diagnose with DSM-5 diagnoses, and be able to educate families and other team members on diagnoses and clinical needs as indicated
- Must value and demonstrate the ability to work with individuals of various backgrounds, be able to explore family culture, and lead discussions about cultural differences and how they may impact the work
- Utilize agency technology in order to complete documents
- Proficient with Google Workspace
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation
- Approved CORI check
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience working with youth with mental health needs
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, community resources, and child/family-serving systems
Work Location: Hybrid (In person/ Remote)
Direct Supervisor: CBHI Supervisor
