Truist Internal Auditor – Professional Practices is responsible for assisting in the data analysis and documentation of Audit Services internal audit operations, which could include analyzing and troubleshooting on data-related issues reported by Audit and other teams. Identifies problematic areas and conducts research to determine the best course of action to correct the data, identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets. Conducts industry specific research and analysis in support of client testing and support activities. Takes ownership of issues through resolution including close coordination between business analysts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note- to be considered for these roles, candidates must be in one of the following locations a minimum of 4 days per week:

  • Charlotte NC - 214 North Tryon Street
  • Raleigh NC - 3201 Beechleaf Court
  • Atlanta, GA - 303 Peachtree Street

No Full Remote/Telecommute. No Relocation Assistance.


Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Proactively participate in the implementation of Audit Services’ policies, procedures, practices, processes, and methodologies to enable a proactive, risk-based audit assurance program for Truist Corporation.
2. Prepare and provide support to Audit Services teammates in the application of audit internal operations methodologies and related policies and procedures, including responding to questions and providing guidance on an ongoing basis.
3. Participate in the process and timely implementation of the Audit Plan, including but not limited to special initiatives in Audit Services.
4. Contribute in the preparation of reporting of audit results to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and related sub-Committees, Truist’s primary regulators and Audit Services’ management.
5. Gain knowledge of the organization, operations, policies and procedures (including banking laws and regulations) under which Truist operates.
6. Receive constructive feedback and apply to future assignments.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent education and related training or experience.
2. Two to four years banking, auditing or other relevant experience related to area of responsibility.
3. Good analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy.
4. Ability to grasp the underlying concepts in complex information.
5. Ability to identify root causes of problems.
6. Ability to formulate solutions based on a synthesis of information.
7. Basic knowledge of audit principles, practices, and methodologies including risk assessment, and audit documentation.
8. Good aptitude for learning analytical, audit and/or facilitation skills.
9. Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
10. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
11. Ability to work independently with moderate oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Have experience in Banking or Finance Services
2. Possess knowledge of SAS and SQL.
