Internal Communications Specialist

Position Overview
Our client, a commercial real estate company, is seeking and Internal Communications Specialist for an extended leave coverage. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that engage employees and promote a positive workplace culture. This role focuses on ensuring that all internal communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's objectives.

This is an onsite role in Detroit, MI beginning on January 6th, 2025 that requires the candidate to be in-office 4 days/week. Initial duration will be 28 weeks, and equipment will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication plans that support organizational goals and initiatives.
• Create and distribute engaging content for various internal communication channels, including newsletters, the intranet, and email updates.
• Source content for newsletter distribution & provide additional support for to the internal communications team.
• Other responsibilities could include, but may not, run of show, talking points for leaders, back-stage help for their event in February. And monthly all company meeting, this team owns content & generating speakers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in internal communications or writing for internal audiences.
• Strong copywriting and editing skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience managing content distribution & approvals and sourcing content for newsletters.
• Proficiency in Contact Monkey & Contentful is preferred.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
