Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2025 Items Analyst Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for assuring inventory sufficiency with respect to mission requirements throughout the life cycle of supported systems. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories, especially under the conditions of performance based logistics (PBL) and total system performance responsibility (TSPR) contracts. Makes and executes decisions for operating inventory to include suppliers, repair facilities, 3PLs and customer locations, including priority interpretation, inventory allocation and asset redistribution as necessary among sources of supply and military operating locations. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of responding to military service inquiries; supports requests for proposals and provisioning determinations; understands and uses various inventory optimization models; forecasts and manages budget requirements; interfaces with company and DoD information management systems; ensures fidelity of asset identification; resolves technical and support problems for assigned classes of items by actively interfacing engineering and suppliers; prepares status reports and metrics relating to supplier performance and mission readiness. Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (tables, pivots, charts, formulas).
- Must be a US Citizen.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of defense industry regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with inventory management software systems.
- Previous internship or coursework related to supply chain management.
- Certification in supply chain management or related field
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
