Provide and document direct nursing care of assigned patie nts under thesupervision of a registered nurse or physician. Nursing car eis guidedby the physician orders and the nursing plan of care. Patientr esponseto care is reported to a registered nurse for evaluation, interve ntionand modification of the plan of care. Assist other health care pers onnelin the delivery of patient care.Assist physicians and other nursing personnel in the performance ofvarious diagnostic procedures.Evaluatenu rsing care with emphasis on nursing procedures and patientresponses; ass ist in the delivery of nursing care and selection ofnursing priorities.A ssist in the development and implementation of general policies andproce dures to provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safetyof pat ients; participate in the formulation of new policies.Participate in mai ntaining the environment of care including equipmentand other materialre sources.Participate in the identification of clinical or operationalperf ormanceimprovement opportunities and assists in performance improvementa ctivities.Assist with control ofmaterial resources and maintenance;assi st inappraisal of effectiveness of material and equipment and report any equipment malfunctions to charge nurse.Participate in in-service educati on programs and other conferenceswithin the service.Assist in the traini ng of new employees.Perform other related duties incidental to thework d escribed herein.
