Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the incumbent is accountable for overseeing functions of the maintenance department, managing equipment and process reliability as well as championing equipment performance from corrective maintenance to large WCM projects. The incumbent will serve as a technical and planning resource to all personnel for equipment, process, and facility needs. This role will oversee daily responsibilities of the plant Reliability Engineer while supporting a safe working environment by correcting or reporting unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution.
Essential Functions
Maintenance Management:
- Plan, schedule, & coordinate personnel, material, and technical resources to optimize equipment and facility usage ((ID necessary resources & ensure availability through SAP work order system)
- Supervise maintenance personnel, schedule overtime, promote employee-centered department
- Accurately track equipment history and parts usage through SAP work order system
- Working with production and maintenance personnel to identify preventative maintenance activities necessary to support operations
- Coordinate predictive maintenance activities to increase uptime and avoid the waste associated with unexpected equipment failure
- Manage UKG time and attendance system, maintenance work order flow, project management, equipment inventory, downtime performance, perform record keeping, data entry and maintain vendor relations.
Reliability:
- Safety Integration and Culture
- Reliability Analysis for Processes and Equipment
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for Processes and Equipment
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Process and Equipment Failures
- Design for Reliability (DfR) in Manufacturing
- Testing and Validation for Process and Equipment Reliability
- Maintenance Strategies for Equipment Reliability
- Continuous Improvement for Process and Equipment Reliability
- Documentation and Reporting
- Solutions design and implementation
Capital Project Management and WCM Pillar
- Lead capital expense projects, leadership initiatives, and drive long-term operation improvement plan for the site.
- Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of WCM principles and methodologies across the plant.
- Conduct WCM assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team skills and WCM understanding.

Education
- BA Business or Engineering: Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education/relevant work experience: Required
Certifications
- PMP: Preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; SPC; Kaizen; Root Cause Analysis: Preferred
- OSHA Certification 30 Hour: Preferred
Experience:
- Experience in maintenance management, project engineering, and WCM in a manufacturing environment: 10 years or more: Required
- Basic mechanical and electrical experience: 5 years or more: Required
- Proven track record of successful project management and implementation: Required
- Strong knowledge of WCM methodologies and best practices.: Required
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills: Required
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment: Required
