Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking two Manufacturing Technician 1/2operators to join our team. This position will be supporting the Nozzle Value Stream at our facility located in Promontory, UT.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Follows established planning or procedures.

• Perform hands on activities/tasks associated with manufacturing nozzles for rocket motors. Tasks may include but are not limited to Tooling/Assembly/Disassembly and bonding/mating of various components.

• Maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost, and scheduling of their team.

• Follow the directions of supervision and lead technicians, during the fabrication of nozzles.

• Makes operator-controlled repairs as required.

• Works with several types of adhesives and adjoining systems.

• Must pass all job-specific or specialized certification programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments.

• Ability to work modified shifts, overtime (frequent), and weekends including flexible working hours to staff production needs.

Basic Qualifications:
Positions can be filled at either a level 1 or level 2.
Basic Qualifications for a level 1:

• 0 to 2 years of manufacturing experience.

• Ability to work a physically demanding day & perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting or pulling up to 35 pounds, working overhead; stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; bend, twist, and push.

• Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation.

• Perform basic math and measurement functions.

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.

• Ability to work a physically demanding day & perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting or pulling up to 35 pounds, working overhead; stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; bend, twist, and push.

• Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Operating industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments and hand tools.

• May need to obtain a secret clearance.

• Makes operator-controlled repairs as required.

This position's standard work schedule is a 4/10.
Salary Range: $35,300 - $58,900
Salary Range 2: $42,000 - $70,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
