Job description:

Position Summary:

The Test Engineer is responsible for developing and executing tests to ensure that product quality and reliability meet customer specifications and requirements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify testing needs, create test procedures, and analyze results. The Test Engineer will also engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving to enhance product performance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install and troubleshoot testing equipment.
Create and/or revise Acceptance, as well as Qualification Test Procedures/Reports.
Exposure and understanding of analog and digital test equipment.
Exposure to National Instruments Lab View software development languages
Motivated hands-on people to drive improvements in a challenging environment.
Provide clear and concise communications.
Ability to manage priorities and competing demands easily and effectively.
Assist in the maintenance of test lab equipment
Upgrade and repair software and hardware of data acquisition computer systems
Maintain database of instrumentation used in test department
Research new instrumentation
Review calibration of test instruments to verify compliance with quality assurance and customer requirements
Troubleshoot test set ups to find sources of error.
Ability to travel to test labs to support testing.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field. Preferably Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as, Military, Aerospace, Nuclear, Automotive, or other similar.
Due to ITAR Restrictions, an export license may be required.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
