As Materials Planning & Execution Specialist you will support our internal and external customers. You will plan and schedule production capacity to exceed our customer requirements. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to support projects and other initiatives across the manufacturing facility to drive continuous improvement.

As a Materials Planning & Execution Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and maintain production schedule for manufacturing operations, internally, to match customer demands (order and forecast) with available resources. Revises and reschedules orders to meet production requirement.
  • Capacity Planning for Manufacturing
  • Maximizes production capacity by establishing, adjusting and monitoring production schedules consistent with master schedules.
  • Identify and highlight specific risks and opportunities within the supply chain, which could impact the cost or service levels expected by the plan.
  • Utilize strong customer service mentality to provide status updates and recommendations to meet or exceed customer's expectations in terms of delivery.
  • Liaison between manufacturing, order management and third party vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement related to planning/scheduling processes, schedule adherence, inventory and manufacturing cycle time.
  • Process shipments and any third party PO's for open production orders
  • Under general supervision, places orders for varieties of materials/supplies, usually with established vendors. May expedite the filling of orders by suppliers to meet production
  • Develops, analyzes, and presents weekly reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity, and safety.
  • Leads projects within the manufacturing team for continuous improvement in all areas - products, processes, etc. - using lean manufacturing tools.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.
  • Works under minimal supervision.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
  • 3+ years experience in planning/scheduling or related function.
  • 3 years experience with SAP
  • 2 years experience managing 3rd party Purchase orders
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong listening, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to details
  • Action oriented with a drive for results.
  • MRP experience preferred.
