Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern
A Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to projects focused on improving mining conditions and economics.

Full time Co-Op/Internship. 36-40 hours a week on site.
What you’ll do?
Day to day work assignments could include:
Assignments will involve learning all aspects of working at a site including Mine Planning, Mine Ventilation, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Maintenance, Safety, Mapping and more
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, mine operators, engineers (of various disciplines), lab personnel, and contractors
Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment
Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies
What you’ll need:
Sophomore level or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Geology or Mining, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2.75 GPA or higher
Student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment
1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is required
Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Basic computer skills are required
Experience working in a team environment is a must
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
