Applications are sought for an opportunity in the Vaccines & Advanced Biotechnologies - Process Research & Development (VAX PR&D) department, which is part of our company's Research Labs division of our company, Inc. The individual will support our company's discovery & development efforts for Vaccine programs at West Point, PA.
The Vaccines and Advanced Biotechnologies Process R&D (VAXPR&D) department in West Point, PA is seeking a highly motivated individual for our newly formed Operations team in support of our company's expanding vaccine pipeline. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the various operational aspects of the process development laboratories. They will be part of a team that will work closely with process development teams to provide support in the areas of equipment, facilities, procurement, and safety. They are expected to work well in teams, including cross-functional collaboration with various support functions (e.g. maintenance, safety, environmental). They will lead projects to renovate and improve capital assets to keep pace with changing requirements.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to;
Support process development laboratories through routine operational functions
Facilitate completion of routine equipment and facility maintenance in collaboration with both internal and external partners
Manage inventory of consumables utilized across process development labs
Manage annual safety and medical certifications for departmental staff
Execute cold storage inventories within regulatory guidance
Perform safety inspections and remediations for multiple labs
Self-motivated to maintain own training status and ability to train others
Education:
High School Diploma/GED or higher
Required Experience and Skills:
3+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
Proficiency with MS Office suite of applications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation and adaptability.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policies.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Laboratory management experience
Materials management experience (Procurement, storage, disposal)
