Outreach Specialist/Therapeutic Mentor - DMH Flex
Riverside is seeking an Outreach Specialist/Therapeutic Mentor to join our DMH Flex team. In this role the Outreach Specialist provides safe, therapeutic, skill-based interventions and activities for youth and families, within the home and community, to help improve social, emotional, and family functioning. The Specialist will have an understanding and provide service delivery and individualized interventions within the identified role of Therapeutic Mentor (TM) or
Therapeutic Training and Support (TT&S) as defined with and within the context of the entire treatment team and agreed upon goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Participates in behavior management, limit setting and crisis intervention as needed.
- Utilizes resources available through the program and in the community to support achievement of treatment goals and growth of youth and families being served.
- Transports youth and families to designated activities and events within the context of treatment plan goals.
- Closely communicates with Program Management, and other Home Based Clinicians and Treatment Team members in support of service planning and appropriate service provision.
Scheduled: Full Time, 40 hours
- flexible hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. to meet the needs of the families
Pay Rate: $22.28/hourly

Required Skills
- Organizational and time management skills

- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in mental health related discipline and one (1) year experience working with youth preferred
- Associate Degree in Human Services field and one (1) year experience working with youth
- High School Diploma or GED and minimum of two (2) years of experience working with youth
required.
- At least six months experience working with children and/or adolescents with emotional difficulties
and their families required. - Must be 21 years of age or older.
