Description

The Produce Department Manager is responsible for the exceptional execution of Customer Service by the entire Produce Department. They are responsible for managing department inventory, margin, labor budgets, pricing integrity, and merchandising standards. They will ensure all Produce Team Members receive proper training and supervision. The Produce Department Manager will ensure the highest level of execution in regards to ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, rotation, merchandising and building of displays.

What you will bring:

Ability to manage multiple Teams and product lines simultaneously.

Ability to consistently meet profit margin targets for the department.

Ability to collaborate closely with Store Operations, VP and Support Group and other Team Leaders on any and all issues related to purchasing.

Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break - we work on the floor, and alongside our team.

Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Give exceptional Service to our Customers.

Lead the Team Members in the department.

Communicate effectively with Customers, Team Members, Store Leadership and Director Group.

Adhere to all Plum Market policies and standard operating procedures.



Compensation details: 20-25 Hourly Wage
