Our client, a very well-known global fitness brand, is currently seeking a freelance Senior Product Manager with Hardware experience to join their team for about 5 months for parental leave coverage.

Please note, this is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days remote (M+F) and 3 days onsite required in NYC. This will be 40hrs/week through March 7th 2025.

Must Have:
- 4+ years of Product Management experience developing hardware (if only apps or software product experience, this will not be a match)
- Strong decision making ability
- Ability to work cross functionally with design and engineering

Nice to have:
- Ideally hardware product management within consumer electronics
- Experience working with global teams

Responsibilities:
- Join the Product Hardware Team and assist with end to end oversight of 1-2 hardware products (some launched, some ongoing and some are new)
- Work will include a mixture of meetings, hands on work, end to end user testing, financial analysis and data analysis (that you will bring to the meetings to help make engineering decisions)
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hardware projects, including defining project scope and product requirements, assessing financial impact, and driving alignment across the company
- Work closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and business teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Partner with Program Management to monitor and track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed
- Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders and senior management

Requirements:
- 4+ years Product Management experience developing hardware
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities (abilities to present to senior leadership)
- Experience working closely with technical/engineering and design teams
- Experience with user testing and validation
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to drive decision making
