As R&D Core Analysis Scientist you are part of the Pressure Pumping Formation Evaluation Team,you will be responsible for:
* Working independently to perform core analysis testing according to standard procedures.
* Responsible for calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory testing equipment.
* Manages laboratory inventory to ensure that all consumables are available.
* Handles complex and/or multiple project testing requests at once.
* Works in a cross functional team environment within Pressure Pumping and other Product Lines.
* Responsible for compiling, analyzing, and interpreting laboratory test results and proposes technical solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting for internal and external customers.
* Participates in development of new laboratory standards and updating existing standards.
* Capable of performing the daily tasks with limited supervision.
* Follows Baker Hughes Quality, Compliance and HSE standards to ensure a safe working environment.
* Handles any other tasks as assigned by manager.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in the oil/gas industry) in Scientific/Engineering discipline.
5 years' experience in Core Analysis
5 years' experience in gathering and interpreting data and preparing reports.
Experience working a cross functional team.
Must have experience working in a laboratory environment.
General knowledge of acidizing, fracturing and cementing chemistries
Able to lift to 50 pounds
