Responsibilities*
Dr. Lana Garmire is seeking a Research Associate II - Temp to develop computational models to predict pancreatic cancers diagnosis, subtyping, prognosis, and personalized therapeutic treatment using a compendium of single cell and spatial transcriptomics, imaging, pathology, genomics and clinical data; conduct both independent research and collaboration with other pancreatic cancer scientists; assist in the development of research proposals; perform responsible administrative work, including the supervision of undergraduates and new master students.
Required Qualifications*
The ideal candidate should:
- Hold a master's degree in a quantitative science field with strong academic standing (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or (Bio)Statistics).
- Be proficient in programming using common statistical languages such as R or Python.
- Be familiar with Linux OS, working in virtual environments, and batch scripting.
- Possess knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or AI modeling.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
- Be a collaborative team player.
