Our benefits consulting client in Fort Worth is looking for a RFP Lead. This assignment will be 40 hours per week, for at least 6 months, with a strong possibility of converting to a permanent position.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 - 3 days onsite at the client's downtown Fort Worth office and other days work-from-home.

As part of the client's quickly-growing business development team, the RFP Lead will lead a team of benefits-focused project teams of RFP writers and designers in the efficient, strategic and successful execution of business development materials.

RFP Lead Responsibilities
Lead the company's RFP writing team
Manage multiple direct reports
Attend kick off calls with producers to gather requirements and information for proposals and presentations, consult on best practices and gain insights into RFP approach
Build relationships with producers and carry through their point of view to the project team
Collaborate with RFP Project Manager to ensure balance between needs of project team and producers
Provide guidance to writers and designers throughout proposal or presentation development
Write responses, as needed, for proposals, presentations and business development decks of all levels of complexity
Help identify and document RFP process, procedures and improvements
Work within Loopio RFP content management system
Help resolve issues along RFP process
Help team prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Proactively communicate status and availability to team
Develop keen knowledge of company services and capabilities

RFP Lead Requirements
Background in the benefits, insurance, or HR verticals (or anything adjacent)
Experience managing teams with multiple direct reports
Strong RFP leadership experience
RFP, grant or proposal writing experience
Benefits administration RFP experience a MUST
Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Experience with content management system like Loopio highly preferred - at least tech-savvy
Efficient, precise, independent, assertive
Highly proactive with communication to leaders / team
Own computer & software when working from home
