Position: RN Interventional Radiology
Shift:PRN Days | Two (2) shifts per week | 10hr shifts
Call Requirements: TBD
Patient Population: All adult cases
Patient Ratios: 10-20 as a dept, 3-5 per RN
Dept Details: BSWMC Centennial has 2 CT rooms, 1 MRI, 2 Ultrasound, 1 Nuclear Med, 1 Fluro. Total of 24 employees, RN may have 3-5 procedures per day that he/she will be assisting with.
Experience required: Candidates must have ACLS, BLS, and a minimum 2 years' experience, and great interpersonal skills. Moderate sedation skills, procedural experience, and great patient connection skills.
* As PRN IR the Registered Nurse expectations in this position require experienced RN IR to hit the ground running and not require training for required procedures, sedation, etc in IR setting.

Job Summary
As an Interventional Radiology RN, you will use nursing expertise to deliver patient care with the healthcare team. Your tasks include evaluating health, identifying issues, creating care plans, and tracking treatment responses. You will help patients navigate their healthcare safely. You will use knowledge of needs to prevent issues.

- Prioritizing patient and family needs is crucial. Responsibilities involve developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans. Adjustments are made as needed.
- Making a safe place for patients, families, staff is vital.
- This includes maintaining confidentiality and voicing patient concerns when necessary.
- The successful candidate will manage learning for patients and families and help nursing staff growth. Knowledge sharing in the health care team and community is also promoted.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role
- A basic understanding of the patient care practices, medical terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional radiology nursing.
- You must communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to engage with different groups effectively.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving for providing optimal patient care.
- The ability to track changes in patients' health and communicate clearly with nurses and doctors.
- Basic computer skills, particularly knowledge of electronic medical documentation systems and email.

Qualifications
- Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- The applicant's major field of study should be Nursing.
- Candidates must be Registered Nurses.
- A BLS certification is required or must obtain within 30 days of hire
