Position Summary

Responsible for pursuing and executing sustainability, energy, and climate action plans for Science +
Technology (S+T) clients. Mentor project teams with strategy and technical development of delivering net zero ready S+T projects. Leads project document development and delivery and collaborates with all integrated design project team members to produce quality work products that achieve climate strategies while adhering to project schedules, project budgets and work plans. With an understanding of the education and energy/climate action policy landscape, represent DLR Group at national organizations and conferences in the S+T market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage climate strategy services during distinct phases of the planning, design, and construction process through post-occupancy.
  • Identify and build relationships with sustainability directors at targeted institutions and align our services with their sustainability goals.
  • Define our Net-Zero Ready Laboratory Design message related to value proposition for carbon emissions/operational savings (decision-making framework for short/mid/long-term to manage funding to meet carbon goals).
  • Maintain a consistent and visible presence on DLR Group's internal communication platform, Square1, offering thought leadership, business development, and marketing leadership.
  • Be familiar with national and regional S+T trends, experts, publications, and associations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Professional licensure.
  • 10+ years of experience in a client-facing role for S+T projects for academic, governmental, and corporate clients. Must be a strong communicator, collaborative, detail-oriented, and organized.

  • Understanding of different stakeholders involved in laboratory facilities decision making.
  • Design
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging high-performance design techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Integrated Design Communication - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage how expertise is applied to a project and provide critical milestones or planning details to the overall project manager. May be required to workplan scope and fee for an individual contributor or for a larger group of integrated design team members depending on needed expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Preferred.
  • LEED AP Preferred.
  • WELL AP Preferred.

The potential pay range for this role is $85,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.
