National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Process and Performance Improvementfor Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations.
Job Purpose
The Analyst will analyze data and activities to provide relevant and up-to-date information to support decisionmaking and the effective working of New England Electric Operations Group for National Grid.
With more experience in the role, this person will also design and implement procedures and policies within their area of work to improve the working of National Grid.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare relevant documentation so stakeholders are fully informed and all evidence or statistics are documented.
- Execute instructions and requests, plan and organize resources and make appropriate arrangements to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and in line with relevant policies and processes.
- Maintain and provide information such as regulatory information in order to ensure regulators and other stakeholders are kept up to date with relevant National Grid policies, processes and programs. Build upon technical/professional skills within own area of specialism or of other processes in order to continually grow your personal contribution to the business.
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to obtain and share information that will benefit National Grid.
- Work with Finance business partners, collate and analyze work unit and/or financial data within one or multiple areas using pre-determined tools, methods and formats in order to support the department's decision making process.
- Review financial information, updating where necessary in order to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information.
- Create and produce high quality presentations and other deliverables that effectively capture and communicate qualitative and quantitative content
- Manage large team projects including but not limited to project planning, event coordination, and performance tracking
- Respond to weather events to assist team in managing outages and restoration response
- Assist in planning and coordination of department events
- Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

- Ability to build good relationships at all levels across the business.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher in a business or engineering related area with 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices, or ability to learn quickly.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation.
- Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of project management techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with the following business systems and processes preferred: SAP, SAP GUI, IMS, ARCOS, Visio, Microsoft Suite of products such as SharePoint, Office 365, OneDrive and TEAMS
