JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Officer, Annual Giving is responsible for developing and managing BSW Dallas Foundation annual giving and annual campaigns. Reporting to the Vice President, Donor Engagement and Experience, this individual will work closely with the marketing, stewardship, events and development teams to develop a comprehensive and effective annual giving strategy. The main responsibilities of this role include developing, coordinating and implementing the Foundation's strategic annual initiatives to secure gifts through individual solicitations, direct mail and email appeals, grateful patient and leadership giving and third-party events. The primary objective is to establish a robust pool of individual prospects by acquiring and retaining donors, as well as building and cultivating a pipeline of major gift donors. This person will also work with the director of marketing and communications and the stewardship team to build an annual giving program that ensures each donor feels valued; understands the impact of their giving and is inspired to continue their support. This position requires significant teamwork and frequent contact with Foundation leadership, physicians and employees at all levels of the organization. It is a multifaceted role that requires the ability to analyze complex data and develop strong, strategic insights and plans to support effective and measurable Foundation goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Lead the day-to-day annual giving efforts of BSW Dallas Foundation.
- Develop innovative strategies to acquire new donors, reengage lapsed donors, inspire current donors to advance to the next level of giving and ensure appropriate stewardship is provided.
- Build and execute a 1903 giving society strategy (giving of $2,500+) to steward current donors participating, engage new donors and create a donor experience that promotes participation and growth.
- Assess annual giving donors and develop short- and long-range plans for engagement, including identification of major gift prospects within the annual giving pipeline.
- Work with Grateful Giving team to cultivate and solicit grateful patient prospects qualified to give $1,000-$10,000.
- Successfully engage, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of annual giving donors and prospects (giving between $1,000 and $10,000).
- Lead the strategy and execution of end-of-year, direct mail and email appeals.
- Work with marketing and stewardship teams to produce creative and successful acquisition and renewal appeal packages.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to foster synergy and strategic engagement, as well as with the prospect research team to ensure thorough screening and evaluation of potential annual giving donors.
- Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns and direct mail appeals, identify trends and develop strategies for improvements.
- Develop, track and regularly report on meaningful metrics and milestones to ensure progress toward and attainment of fundraising targets.
- Manage an annual budget and appeal-specific budgets.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Studies or other related disciplines from an accredited college or university.
- Must be a proficient project manager and possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated experience in campaign management and strategic planning.

- Experience working with donor database, Raiser's Edge a plus
- Experience working in Microsoft Office 365 Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint; experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
