40Summary:
The Senior Developer, Android is a seasoned IT professional with proficiency in creating and designing new mobile applications, maintaining and improving existing features on existing applications, and working with our marketing, IT, and operational teams to develop innovative solutions that meet our patients, members, parents, staff, and care provider needs.
Should has the skills to collaborate with other professionals and vendors to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new/existing system/applications or extensive revisions for customers, will sometimes serve as one of the teams' technical expert on Android development, deployment, and maintenance. Should have the expertise to create high-level specifications, address problems relating to systems integration and compatibility using the latest technology. Possess a good understanding of the Android Platform, design concepts and patterns, understand the need and usages of user interfaces, data security, information protection regarding PHI and HIPAA.
Skills to perform research on design feasibility and present it to management, develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility, able to define all aspects of development and successfully communicate all development and deployment concepts and guidelines to leadership and any other appropriate teams. Very good knowledge of overseeing the progress of the development to ensure design consistency, provide technical guidance, coach other developers and ensure the application meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc. A candidate must be adept with complex software development and be able to work independently with little or no supervision. Must possess a very good knowledge of the software development lifecycle (including agile frameworks and processes), software requirements, task management, multi-tasking, Android platform, mobile development infrastructure, and a good sense for information security.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related technical field). If degree is in non-technical subject candidate must have additional 3 years technical experience.
* 4 years in mobile development experience
* 3+ years' experience of developing application on the Android Platform is required.
* 3+ years' experience of using Android Studio and Kotlin.
* Experience of using Java, mobile testing and Firebase or similar debugging tools is a plus.
* 1+ years' experience using BDD tools (e.g. Cucumber) or TDD is preferred.
* Experience using database and Android database is a plus.
* 1+ years' experience of working in a Health Care or Health IT environment preferred.
* 8 years' overall development experience is preferred.
* Experience of working with continuous integration and continuous deployment is preferred.
* Experience of Apple iOS platform development is preferred.
* Experience of Apple iOS app store is preferred.
Experience in 3rd party SDK integration like EPIC SDK is nice to have.
Licensure/Certification:
* Mobile development certification is a plus.
* Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
* Android certification is a plus.
* Apple iOS certification is a plus.
