Resp & Qualifications
PURPOSE:
The Senior Venture Capital Associate sources and evaluates new investment opportunities, supports the execution of investment theses, and lends assistance to our portfolio companies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Pipeline Management and Opportunity Evaluation. Builds long-term relationships with entrepreneurs that ensure that Healthworx is top of mind through the company's growth. Engages with potential fund investments. Maintains a network of service providers, investors, and other ecosystem players that support deal sourcing and execution. Promotes the Healthworx brand through publications and thought leadership.
- Deal Execution. Seamlessly maps opportunities to Healthworx strategy and runs investment return models. Owns diligence workstreams and sections of the deal memos.
- Portfolio Company Support: Supports portfolio companies on specific full-scale projects (commercial product development, exit management, etc.). Supports collaborative work between Healthworx and CareFirst and serves as an ambassador across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 6 years venture capital, management consulting, investment banking, product management, business development with a technology company, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working at an accelerator, investor, venture studio, or other supporter of early start-ups.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Salary Range: $102,744 - $204,061
