Software Engineer in Test (SDET)
The Role
Everything starts with our customers. We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer in test who can support our Marketing Technology and Social Platform in multiple ways such as automation testing, CI / CD build out, analysis, and application development. The outcome of this role will elevate the efficiency and speed at which Fidelity not only delivers stable products but delivers quality to our customers.
The Expertise You Have
  • Experience with web based and API based automation tool sets such as: Protractor, Selenium, REST Assured, Chakram
  • Experience with customer appointment setting technologies a PLUS
  • Strong demonstrated experience in delivering software solutions in an Agile environment
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience preferred
  • 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting automation test platforms
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting and implementing development pipelines (CI / CD)
  • Hands-on experience with crafting and using Virtual / Mock assets
  • Shown proficient development skillset within the following: Angular, Java, JavaScript, Jenkins, uDeploy
  • Passionate about crafting the best end-to-end customer experience
  • You are a multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of technologies and test automation frameworks and solutions
  • Energetically pursue new technologies and their adoption
  • Leading the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
  • Thrive in a fast paced, high demand environment

The Team
The Engineering Efficiency and Assurance (EE&A) chapter resides in the Fidelity Wealth business unit (FWBU) of Fidelity Investments. The chapter consists of over 245 multi-stacked engineers with a passion around customer experience and with the engineering tool set to seek challenges including: Automated testing, performance testing, chaos testing, application cloud migration and management, CI / CD implementation, security testing and application development. The chapter's support spans across all of FWBU and provides domain specialists to squads who develop products with the highest customer quality, security, stability, and experience. This role will directly support the Digital Appointment Scheduling Platform within FWBU. The goal of the platform is to create a simple, intuitive, frictionless appointment setting experience to intelligently match clients with the best advisor for their needs. The supported applications include but are not limited to web-based applications, API based applications, and cloud-based solutions.
