POSITION – Union: Senior Tech Support Specialist – Engineering
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1
LOCATION: MA - Pittsfield
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for complete development of project CAD construction drawing packages which include: main installation and retirement, all services affected by project, Individual work orders in SAP for mains and all services.
Create main and service tables for each project and draft job procedures.
Confirm gas pipe flow pressures using GasCalc software
Draft new regulator stations and commercial meter sets using CAD and SAP.
Responsible for all leak survey CAD maps for every town Berkshire Gas covers.
(Update yearly)Add new accurate land base to composite maps so new mains can be easily posted.
Add station numbers from Mass DOT state highway maps to construction & composite drawings for all state highway projects.
Scan construction drawings jobs and save in a folder on the network drive by work order number for future viewing and records. Save in CAD and PDF form.
Log all Mass Highway jobs on the network drive. Review scope of project and added gas utilities if needed and returned to DOT to be updated.
Provide requested gas utility information to Mass DOT, surveying firms, engineering companies, city and town engineering departments and contractors.
Provide drafting needs for all of Engineering, Marketing, IT, Distribution Dept., Production Dept., Energy Dept., construction, and management.
Design services - responsible for work order estimates in SAP for marketing.
Service to construct - responsible for work order estimate in SAP, Cad drawing & dig-safe.
Customer charge projects, includes site visit and accompanying CAD drawing, dig-safe and permits and create a business partner in SAP and a DP80 CIAC quote in SAP.
Maintain plotters), order materials (example: plotter paper, toner, and service) when needed
Compile system maps in CAD (Pittsfield, North Adams, Adams, Greenfield & Williamstown)
Compile state compliance maps in in CAD for various towns (As required)
Create variant reports.
Add PEDA restriction areas to Pittsfield composite maps in CAD.
Assist in training new engineering employees on putting a project together in CAD and the use of the Berkshire Gas Company standards.
Maintain standard CAD library for engineering use. Create standard connections
Support operations manager with all mapping and drawing requests.
Post as-built main construction and service drawings for records department as needed.
Creates new DigSafe tickets for work orders.
Pre-marking the project for Digsafe.
Uses ZGServe in SAP to create service listings for each street of gas main installation project.
