This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rule governing the program.

Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for completing proactive system maintenance related to new items, item transitions, substitutions, and item phase outs. The Supply Chain Specialist is also responsible for the integrity of restaurant participation data and future restaurant order proposals as it relates to item transitions. The Supply Chain Specialist will collaborate with Distribution Centers and Supply Chain teams to ensure a seamless flow of order processing from Distribution Center to Restaurants.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Gather, review, and communicate new item information and item changes to internal departments to ensure accurate item planning
  • Manage setup of item transitions and monitor depletion of inventory to ensure a smooth transition
  • Daily review of distribution supply and reason code reporting to take appropriate action required for item changes or phase outs
  • Troubleshoot order processing errors by researching and coordinating solutions
  • Maintain accurate and timely system inputs to ensure restaurants are meeting packaging compliances for environmental ordinances
  • Responsible for accuracy and integrity of the order proposal data and ensuring restaurant participation aligns with expectations
  • Act as point of contact for issues related to item maintenance and order processing
  • Analyze and interpret multiple sources of data and reports to determine the best course of action or identify new opportunities to meet customer specific requirements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with distribution center and supply chain partners to obtain maintenance inputs and successful execution
  • Setup of auto-shipments that meet specific timing and planning requirements
  • Utilize proper reason codes for all item changes and transitions
  • Create ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Work on projects assigned to support existing customers, new business development, or process improvement
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field and 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Purchasing, or Analytics
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with various deadlines
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building through cross functional alignment and delivery of initiatives
  • This position requires interaction with internal/external customers. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management, peers, and clients, as necessary
  • Critical thinking skills required to analyze data with the ability to define root cause, and corrective action
  • Demonstrated effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of tools such as excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent task prioritization, follow-up, and customer service skills required
  • This position must pass a post offer background check and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a retail or restaurant supply chain
  • Experience with J.D. Edwards, JDA, and Power BI
  • Proven mentoring, coaching, and development skills
