Test Equipment Engineer (Bothell, WA)
You will work as a part of a team comprised of electrical, computer, mechanical, and systems engineers to design, develop, and build test equipment to verify Philips medical systems:
Your role:
- Work with systems engineers to analyze hardware and software requirements
- Work with electrical and mechanical engineers to research and design hardware components and wiring.
- Work with other test engineers to develop test software applications
- Supports bench and design validation testing of test systems against requirements.
- Works with team to accurately document design elements and develop end-user manuals.
- Works with project managers to identify technical issues and present solutions
- Collaborate with product development project teams to improve test methods, recommend, and implement improvements to test equipment, and adapt test equipment to newly developed products.
- Create calibration and maintenance procedures and work instruction and perform scheduled calibration and preventive maintenance to automated and semi-automated test equipment (custom developed and off-the-shelf).
You're the right fit if:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation and verification of electronic devices. Within product development is preferred. Experience related to the development and testing of medical (FDA regulated) products is a plus.
- Experience developing software to interface test sequences with calibrated test equipment
- Experience using NI LabVIEW and TestStand. Experience with Python, C# is a plus.
- Experience developing documentation to capture software design details as well as test plans and procedures.
- Electrical circuit or system design using Mentor Graphics or similar tools.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in (Bothell, WA) is $103,000 to $177,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
