United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a VP, Centennial Campaign to join our team. As VP, Centennial Campaign at United Way Miami, you will manage related strategies to execute a successful Centennial campaign. Work closely with programs, marketing & communication, operations, and development staff to optimize campaign efforts. Develop and build relationships in the community that enhance the visibility of our work and help create opportunities to develop partnerships.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the design and implementation of strategies to identify funding sources needed to successfully execute a multi-year $60 million Centennial campaign. The design/planning stage of the campaign is expected in late 2024, with the launch in early 2025. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts prospects for their highest gift
- Ensuring integration of the individual, corporate, and foundation prospect base
- Leading and participating in prospect approach and strategy development. Maintain strong positive relationships with all donors and prospects to enhance support for and understanding of the development initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction, oversee and manage all components of high net-worth individuals' giving, ensuring the proper use of data, discipline, and systems in place to meet objectives and reach fundraising goals.
- Provide staff support and leadership to assigned volunteers and committees. Supervise the maintenance of a comprehensive prospect management process to guide cultivation and solicitation activities. Work with appropriate internal teams on the development of campaign materials, collateral, and engagement strategies to support overall fund- and friend-raising efforts.
- Following the Centennial campaign, the role might transition to a senior managerial role within our Development team responsible for the supervision of subordinate employees that includes training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and directing tasks.

Requirements:Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, Advance degree is a plus or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 7-10+ years' of substantial senior-level, full-time fundraising experience.
Technology Requirements: Beginning knowledge of modern web browsers, Intermediate Word, Beginning Excel, Beginning Outlook, Intermediate Andar.
Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Excellent customer service abilities good writing skills, public speaking skills, organizational skills, good judgment about people, and supervisory skills. The Spanish language is not a requirement but helpful.
