What do we need:

We seek a nutrition formulation talent, who will collaborate with a highly cross functional team, to deliver formulation support for our existing nutrition portfolio. This individual will support all internally produced products offering technical support from our farm level, through a lifecycle of finished good production. A primary area of focus in this role involves supply continuity, offering vision and solutions for issues that interrupt our product supply. Your exposures in nutrition/pharma product development will offer value on this team.

Day to day this person will be involved in identification and qualification of new raw material sources and identification of new raw material types. You will provide support for formulation adjustments and modifications driven by regulatory or manufacturing limitations. Additionally, you will focus on cost savings projects that offer value and margin enhancements along with considerations for portfolio consolidations.

Required qualifications:

  • BS degree (MS desired) in chemical engineering, food or pharma science or closely related discipline
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in nutrition, food, or pharma industry producing product formulation

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Ability to develop solutions for technical formulation challenges
  • Exposures in product formats such as tablets, capsules, soft gels, etc.
  • Talent to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to bring projects forward to completion
  • Comfort with lab equipment, knowledge of manufacturing equipment, and formulation talent

What’s special about this team

The Nutrition Business Sustaining & Value Engineering team, is a talented team of eight whose contributions are focused on technical support to keep our current nutrition product portfolio moving forward. This team works together on challenges that impact production, formulations, quality, or supply chain impacts. They also work closely with farm quality control & Quality Assurance, along with Regulatory Analysts, and our Procurement (Sourcing) teams. This is a talented team with deep expertise that one can learn from and build skills and competencies that promote personal and professional growth. Additionally, this team works with a variety of product formats, including botanical extracts from ingredients that we grow on our own farms. This is a special team that supports our global Amway Business Owners (ABO’s) by ensuring we provide them with a consistent product supply to meet the needs of their growing nutrition businesses.
