





On the Shorts creation team, our mission is to empower everyone to create engaging Shorts. To do that, we:
- Provide users media assets that lower the barriers to creation and maximize production value
- Provide Easy-to-use tools that empower users to create, edit and share quality Shorts
- Motivate creators by giving them timely encouragement, feedback and insights

In this role, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders and other UXRs to identify, prioritize and conduct tactical and foundational research that will guide the product development of short-form video creation at our client.
Specifically, you will work with a senior UXR/Team lead, your Manager and xfn partners to:
- Identify UX research opportunities based on user needs, a strong understanding of product design, our technical constraints, and business objectives. Set and prioritize your OKRs, and reassess priorities as new needs come up
- Partner with Sr UXRs on exploratory/foundational research on current and potential Shorts creators to drive product strategy.
- Manage multiple research requests in a fast-paced environment and identify appropriate research approaches to address needs
- Build empathy and an understanding across the platform of the unique experiences of Shorts creators
- Plan and execute tactical and strategic research to inform existing and new features, inform design execution and business decisions in close partnership with designers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists
- Communicate findings in written deliverables (e.g., toplines, research deliverables) and work with other researchers & manager to ensure that the findings are of high-quality and will have impact on product development.
Mandatory:
- Usability researcher, User Experience researcher, Defining User Goals, concept testing, qualitative research
Preferred:
- Create or watch short-form videos and/or have a background in the creative arts
- Comfort with or Interest in learning quantitative research methods
- Have experience conducting research with teens
- Have a passion for or experience in product inclusion
- Comfortable moderating and facilitating in-person and remote interviews, discussions, and in-depth interviews with a diverse range of participants and settings.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with an interest in learning how to synthesize and translate research insights into actionable recommendations and a compelling narrative.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $98.13 to $109.04 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
