





Ready to make a real impact on the future of mobility? Aquent Talent is partnering with a global automotive manufacturer to find a skilled Engineering Support Specialist to join their team. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of the engineering process, from product development and release to ongoing support and continuous improvement.
Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of cutting-edge vehicle technology. As an Engineering Support Specialist, you will be immersed in the world of automotive engineering, contributing to the development and lifecycle management of exciting vehicle programs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence key decisions, and witness your contributions come to life on the road.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage product releases, including BOM creation, SOW development, source package generation, I-sheet creation, and PPAP coordination.
- Coordinate design, development, validation, and compliance activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing product support, including hardware and software updates, CAD management, BOM maintenance, change notice management, and engineering system updates.
- Support marketing programs by providing engineering expertise, managing asset costing and timing, and coordinating with brand agencies.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment with minimal direction.
- Experience with product development, specifically powertrain engine hardware development, validation, and release.
- Proficiency in creating BOMs, Statements of Work, and managing product updates through engineering change management systems.
- Expertise in Excel and managing BOM costs (internal and supplier components).
- Experience with instrumented vehicles driven on public roads, test tracks, and chassis dynos.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $44.69 to $49.66 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
