Lead Knowledge Analyst - Corporate Strategy
Additionally, as an LKA you will drive the development of intellectual property and knowledge assets to support the Strategy Topic Business, serving as an active contributor to commercialization efforts for the topic, whilst working with business leaders to drive proposals & go-to-market efforts. The Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice (CFS) is BCG’s largest practice and combines rich expertise in corporate strategy concepts with a management methodology designed to create sustainable value for BCG clients. Our business is composed of three major businesses (Strategy, Corporate Finance and Transaction & Integration). We deliver strategic and analytic approaches that allow senior management to effectively deal with challenges such as generating growth, innovating companies, managing a portfolio of assets, forming a world-class finance organization, understanding risk, and responding to the way capital markets assess companies today. Effectively carrying out corporate transactions end-to-end, from portfolio decision to operational separation or from identifying an M&A target to integration, is also part of our offering.
The candidate will partner with client teams to help our clients in developing corporate strategies, shape business portfolios, and evaluate strategic options, thereby providing robust insights to top global organizations. This position demands a data-driven approach to assessing strategic and financial health of the business, evaluating company performance, benchmarking competition, and conducting comprehensive market assessments to produce thorough strategic plans and recommendations. The candidate must be proficient in various types of analyses at each stage of the strategy cycle and possess advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data and generate actionable, insightful strategies.
Additionally, the candidate will work closely with Strategy topic experts and leaders to turn case learnings into products and generate new insights on key topics including Corporate & Portfolio Strategy, Growth Strategy, and Innovation. Key responsibilities include developing and updating knowledge materials, assets, tools, and publications shaped by emerging trends, market feedback, and gaps identified by consulting teams and topic leadership.
- Solving complex client problems through relevant analytical approaches and customized solutions in Strategy domain
- Driving development and maintenance of knowledge assets e.g. tools, materials related to Corporate Strategy, Portfolio Strategy, Innovation topics, based on different client contexts
- Communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to engage your audience effectively
- Managing a portfolio of projects, with strong awareness of business priorities and commercial impact
- Training, coaching, and mentoring junior team members
- Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years consulting experience in relevant Corporate & Portfolio Strategy required; candidates with consulting experience preferred
- In lieu of consulting experience, 6+ years minimum industry experience required; 7-10+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
- Expertise in Corporate Strategy
- Fluency in English;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment
